Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program is designed for adults, 18 years of age and older who have stable mental & physical health; and have supportive & stable living environments. The goal of outpatient drug treatment is complete abstinence from drugs. Complete abstinence can be achieved by identifying and solving the emotional and behavioral disturbances of the individual; implementing an effective aftercare treatment plan; and learning about physiological and psychological side effects of drug addiction to the individual and family. Therapeutic interventions include lectures, group therapy, Twelve Step tools, spirituality, and peer interaction. Specialized techniques such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy &Dialectal Behavior Therapy are utilized to increase the client’s insight and awareness into the disease of chemical dependency along with the dynamics that lead to their addiction. Clients, family members &significant others gain knowledge in using alternative ways of coping &problem-solving methods to deal with daily stressors.

Dual-Diagnosis Treatment

Provides concurrent psychiatric and chemical-dependency treatment for patients with a dual diagnosis. To develop and enhance recovery opportunities for individuals who experience a dual disorder of an emotional or psychiatric illness and a chemical addiction, and to provide support and education. These clients are included in the Intensive Outpatient Program.

Supportive Outpatient Program (SOP)

Clients are admitted into the Supportive Outpatient Treatment program when IOP has been completed. There is a continuation of the original goals but relapse prevention is the primary focus, clients are exploring options for support and ongoing care.

Ambulatory (Outpatient) Detoxification

Outpatient Detox Treatment operates as a stand-alone treatment which is significantly different from traditional residential or hospital based detox programs.

Outpatient detox is a medical method designed to safely detox patients from drugs and alcohol without a hospital admission. Patients addicted to opiate prescription medications or addicted to illegal opiates such as heroin, may especially benefit from outpatient detox. In the last several years, the FDA has approved the use of medications such as Suboxone and Subutex (Buprenorphine) to assist in the withdrawal from opiates.

These new treatments have greatly advanced the ability to detox in an outpatient setting. This level of service includes a physical exam, lab work, and daily counseling. Outpatient detox may be followed with either an intensive or a less intensive outpatient-counseling program depending on individual patient needs.

Family Counseling

Statistics show that patients with family support have a higher rate of recovery - which is why Solace integrates family counseling into all of our treatment programs. Family counseling is also available as a standalone service.
